Tribal Braids are braids with complex or detailed braided patterns. These patterns could be big, small, or medium in size and can be a different lengths. The length and size will be determined by the client.
These braids are not just one style. These braids are versatile and they can be decorated with different types of hair accessories such as colored strings, shells, hair clips, ribbons, and etc. The jewelry came from the African cultures. The African used to and still braid their hair and use a variety of different hair accessories to decorate their hair to symbolize where they are from ( can be seen in the picture below).
Today, We are bringing back the tradition by continuing the braiding trend and using assesories to decorate and carry on the tradition.
Tribal braids can be created by sleeking the natural hair to tame it and braiding the natural hair in with extensions to create the braids. after, you must dip the hair into hot boiling water to keep the hold. To sleep, you must tie you hair down with a hair scarf for longer lasting results. Another thing in addition to tribal braids are doing the front of you hair as decoration known as “baby hairs” or “edges”. This is simply taking the little pieces of hairs in the front of your hairs and brushing them in different designs. As you can see in the picture below, the fronts of her hair are brushes into wavy patterns.
